DOES A HOME-TEACHER NEED A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT?

The student who teaches your child at home does not need to sign an employment contract. In order to simplify the terms of payment of salaries for students who work at home, it is sufficient to pay in CESU. The CESU can be used for home teachers who work at home on a non-permanent basis and outside their professional activity.

It is nevertheless advisable to draw up a contract even if it is not compulsory. The contract mentions the teacher’s qualification, remuneration and working hours.
